About jim  by  frank sorensen

Jim Rice aka James A. Rice is a lifetime photographer whose passions are captured through the lens of his camera. His love for music is reflected in his first cover shot for a Blood Sweat and Tears album, to his current work as in-house photographer for The Falcon in Marlboro, N.Y. Jim’s desire “give back to the music community for giving me so much pleasure...” is so vividly portrayed in his stunning photos from the many music venues he has and continues to chronicle.

Jim’s journey as a photographer has lead him to be a stringer for A.P. and a fashion photographer with Jack Beshears Studio in the 70’s. In the 80’s he shot public relations images for Eddelman P.R. in N.Y.C., weddings for Shayne Studios and industrial images for Lester Millman Photography Inc. He also did freelance work for Cross Westchester Weekly. Jim was also Photography Director for The Scuba Sports Club in the mid 90’s and won some awards with the Westchester Photographic Society those same years.

Jim’s sensitivity to the world and those that inhabit her, has him currently exploring ways to use his artistry to honor the men and women returning from wars in distant lands. Jim’s passion for the outdoors and his love of the natural world also come through in the magical, colorful and stunning photos he has taken over his life time.

Jim is available to discuss your ideas and bring his experience to capture your visions and projects.
